Founded by Board Certified Nurse Practitioner Maria Schepis, Bellara provides high-quality services and expert guidance with an emphasis on patient safety and client experience. Maria’s approach delivers natural yet noticeable results that will enhance your beauty and leave you feeling healthy, glowing, and confident.

Meet Maria
With over 20 years of combined Nursing and Advanced Practice Nursing experience in a level 1 trauma ICU, Pain Management, and Critical Care Telemedicine, Maria has extensive expertise and training in health and high-risk care. After nearly two decades in nursing, Maria decided to shift her focus and become an Aesthetic Nurse Injector, channeling her passion for helping others coupled with her lifelong love of all things beauty. She opened Bellara Aesthetics in 2019 to help women reach their aesthetic goals through individualized treatment plans and age-defying skincare services. Maria empowers her clients to embrace their natural beauty and understand their skin so they can become the most beautiful and confident version of themselves.
In addition to running Bellara, Maria does telemedicine consultations for nurses and aestheticians in Illinois two days a week. Maria is a wife and mother of five and loves to spend her free time outdoors, hiking, traveling, hanging out with her family, and reading.
Mila Lifka | Esthetician
Mila’s passion for skincare began with her own challenging journey. She struggled with sensitive skin and perioral dermatitis, constantly searching for the right products and trying everything possible to heal her skin. After much trial and error, she discovered that skincare isn’t about using more products—it’s about using the right ones, understanding ingredients, and building a routine that truly supports the skin’s barrier and overall health.
This realization led her to pursue a career in esthetics, driven by the desire to help others navigate their own skincare journeys with confidence and ease. She understands firsthand how frustrating and overwhelming it can be to do everything “right” and still struggle with skin issues. Her approach is centered on providing gentle, customized care tailored to each individual’s unique skin needs. Whether clients are dealing with sensitivities, breakouts, or simply want to enhance their natural glow, she is dedicated to guiding and supporting them every step of the way.
Dr. Kylie Melton | Medical Director
Dr. Kylie Melton is a board-certified physician with a strong foundation in primary care and a specialized passion for aesthetics. Since completing a dedicated aesthetics rotation during her Family Practice residency in 2016, she has combined her medical expertise with advanced training in facial anatomy, injection techniques, and safety to deliver natural, confidence-boosting results.
She strives to help every individual feel comfortable and radiant in their own skin. Her unique blend of medical knowledge and aesthetic skill allows her to provide personalized treatments that enhance natural beauty while prioritizing patient safety and satisfaction.
Driven by a commitment to patient care and empowerment, Dr. Melton believes that confidence is something everyone deserves to exude—and she’s here to help you achieve it.
Emily Harms | Administrator
With over eight years of experience in administrative and customer service roles, Emily brings a warm, organized, and professional presence to Bellara Aesthetics. As the Operations Coordinator, she oversees the day-to-day flow of the office;handling everything from scheduling appointments and managing inventory to offering seamless front-desk support. Her goal is to ensure every client’s visit is smooth, efficient, and welcoming from start to finish.
Emily thrives in environments where people walk out feeling better than when they arrived, which is exactly what Bellara Aesthetics stands for. Her calm demeanor and attention to detail help create a positive, uplifting space for both clients and team members alike.
Outside of the office, Emily enjoys spending quality time with her family, getting lost in a good book, watching movies, and planning her next travel adventure.
